Wyatt Lambert is a marketing and tech intern at The Great Renter, working on search, marketing and the occasional piece of tech from Victoria, British Columbia. The Great Renter is built and run by The Great Folks, a Victoria product studio.
Wyatt researches and writes The Great Renter's landlord guides, its province-by-province tenant screening pages and its free rental application forms for Ontario, BC, Alberta and Manitoba. That work means reading the source material directly: tenancy statutes and regulations, privacy commissioner guidance for landlords, and human rights commission policies on rental housing.
Mostly self-taught, Wyatt learns by fixing whatever is getting in the way, and would rather be the least experienced person in the room than the most comfortable one.
How these guides are checked
Every legal statement in a guide is footnoted to the statute, regulation, tribunal or regulator guidance it comes from, and those sources are read directly rather than summarized from other websites. Each guide shows the date its sources were last checked. Guides are general information, not legal advice.
